Short Biography -
Bill Byrne is a graduate from New York’s School of Visual Arts Master Fine Arts in Photography and Related Media.  His work focuses on the use of photographic montage to build a surrealistic, organic world.  He makes digital prints and animated installations. His images have been featured in the Digitalis series of exhibitions including their most recent show Patterns as part of the New Forms Festival in Vancouver.  His work has also recently been shown at the New York Hall Of Science as part of the show Digital 2004: Tommorrow. His image The Flowering was published in the October 2005 issue of Wired.
 
As well as making art, Bill is also a motion graphics designer and editor for television and film. He has worked with clients such as Tiffany & Co., ABC Sports, ESPN, Panasonic, Snickers and RCA Records. His film projects include the title sequence and special effects for the independent feature Red Doors (winner, best narrative feature, Tribeca Film Festival 2005). He has also recently edited the short film, Myron, directed by Luke Stettner (official selection, Sedona International Film and Video Festival, IFP Buzz cuts, and First Glance Philadelphia Film Festival). He has also directed and animated the video for All About House Plants for the DVD project, Addendum by the band One Ring Zero.
 
Bill is now an Adjunct Professor of Motion Graphics and Digital Filmmaking at the Katherine Gibbs school in New York.
 
When he is not inspiring young minds (like Edward James Olmos in Stand and Deliver), he is teaching himself card tricks and enjoying cable television.  
 
He lives with his wife, Suzanne in Brooklyn.
